Atlanta, GA--  The regular meeting of the DeKalb Parks Bond Advisory Committee and Initiative for a Green DeKalb Advisory Council will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 5:30 p.m. at Mary Scott Nature Park, 4150 Briarcliff Rd. in Atlanta.

The DeKalb County Parks Bond and Greenspace Program utilizes a multi-million dollar fund established for the preservation of Greenspace. DeKalb County citizens dedicated more than $248 million for Greenspace acquisitions and park developments when they passed a bond referendum in 2001 and again in 2006.

At the meeting on October 13th there will be an update on greenspace acquisitions and current Parks and Recreation projects, and a brief park tour.  For more information, contact the Natural Resource Management Office at 404-371-2082.
