Chick-fil-A to host Daddy-Daughter Date Night

(WXIA) -- Chick-fil-A will bring back its popular Daddy-Daughter Date Night this weekend.

The fifth annual event will be Saturday, Feb. 7 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at participating restaurants.

Daddy-Daughter Date Night encourages fathers and their little girls to spend time together. Every "couple" will receive take-home booklets featuring conversation starters and ideas for future outings.

Attendees will also be treated to tableside service, limousine and trolley rides, and other surprises.

Daddy-Daughter Date Night is free, except for the cost of food. Seating is available every hour; fathers and daughters are encouraged to call their local Chick-fil-A locations in advance to reserve a time.

(WXIA) -- February is National Pancake Month, and the Flying Biscuit has found the perfect way to celebrate.

The Atlanta-based café chain is offering red velvet pancakes at participating locations all month long.

Flying Biscuit brand leader Brent Fuller said red velvet pancakes are only served for a limited time each year, "and it felt fitting to offer them during National Pancake Month this year."

All Flying Biscuit locations also offer buttermilk pancakes and organic pancakes year-round.

ATLANTA -- Eater.com has compiled a list of what the food website says are must-try items for residents and out-of-town guests.

"From frozen pops to double-decker burgers, relatively new to old standbys, these are the 25 most iconic dishes in the city," the website says.

The list features, in alphabetical order by restaurant:

J. Christopher's adopts 16 families for the holidays

(WXIA) -- J. Christopher's announced Monday it has "adopted" 16 families to give them the holiday of their dreams.

Every year, the restaurant chain helps the communities it serves by providing families in need with household goods, toys, books and school supplies. Customers have the option of giving gifts and donations to the cause.

5 local burgers listed among best burgers in America

ATLANTA (WXIA) – Food lovers' blog The Daily Meal has included five metro Atlanta burgers on its annual list of the 101 best burgers in America.

The double cheeseburger from Buckhead's Holeman and Finch Public House was number seven on the list, and was also named best burger in the Southeast.
