Fulton County Cooperative Extension offers training for planting vegetable garden

Get ready to play in the dirt again! Fulton County Cooperative Extension will teach a “Vegetable Garden Made Easy” class to assist residents with their spring gardening. The free class is offered to county residents wanting to plant their own vegetable gardens. The class will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. at the Fairburn Branch Library located at 60 Valley View Drive in Fairburn, GA 30213.

Join us to learn the fundamentals of planting a vegetable garden that yields beautiful crops.  You will be taught the newest techniques for planning a garden, preparing the soil and much more to produce delicious, fresh vegetables at harvest time.

Fulton County Cooperative Extension also hosts monthly classes on topics such as composting, weed control, lawn care, financial management, diabetes, and container gardening. Classes are held in various locations throughout the county.  Call (404) 332-2400 for more information.
