Stonecrest Farmer's Market Opens October 21st

Consistent with their pledge to become the “greenest” county, the Farmers’ Market at Stonecrest serves to honor DeKalb County’s heritage by expanding its market to a seasonal market and include an urban farm at the edge of the mall, by using bike paths to connect it to nearby historical farms.

On October 21st, the Mall at Stonecrest will hold the ribbon cutting celebration for the new Farmers’ Market at Stonecrest at 5:30 p.m.

Make Your Own Rain Barrel

Collecting rainwater in rain barrels for use during dry months is an excellent way to conserve water and reduce water bills and the DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) will host a Rain Barrel workshop for DeKalb citizens on Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Tucker Recreation Center (4898 Lavista Road in Tucker).
